Autism Spectrum Disorder Symposium 2017 is held in collaboration with the Institute for Psychology and Wellbeing, North West University!
The symposium will be hosted in Building E8, Dawie Du Plessis Auditorium, Hoffman Street, North West University, Potchefstroom campus.
The theme of the symposium is to CONNECT to effect Change and our aims for the symposium are:
– To create awareness of the prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorders
– To make services known and share expertise
– To change attitudes and cultivate teamwork
– Provide parents and professionals with knowledge and strategies to nurture and develop abilities of persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders
We welcome individuals with Autism, Medical specialists and practitioners, Professional nurses, Speech-language and Occupational therapists, Psychologists, Social workers, Educators and parents.
Another chance for all in the autism community to come together to connect, share and learn from experts. We have put together a very eclectic and exciting programme for 2017!
Join us for a blend of practical and academic presentations from the field of medicine, psychology, speech-language and occupational therapy, nursing, education, law, parents and persons with autism.
